Terms of Use
Last updated August 2026
Welcome to Football Institute. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Football Institute website, courses, pathways, community, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Football Institute, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Football Institute is a nonprofit whose mission is to make high-quality football education freely available to everyone in the game — coaches, analysts, scouts, players, referees, and other practitioners. Access to courses is, and is intended to remain, free of charge.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly allow them to register. You need an account to enrol in courses and take part in the community. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
During our early-access period, new accounts may require an invite code. Invite codes are personal to the recipient and may not be resold or shared publicly.
3. Community rules and acceptable use
The community is for learning and mutual respect. You agree not to:
- harass, bully, threaten, demean, or discriminate against anyone;
- post unlawful, hateful, sexual, or otherwise harmful or infringing content;
- solicit personal contact details from, or attempt to move off-platform with, any young person, or otherwise behave in a way that endangers a minor;
- post spam, scams, phishing links, or unsolicited promotions;
- misuse, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ accounts;
- scrape, resell, or commercially redistribute course content without our written permission;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.
We use a combination of automated tools and human review to keep the community safe, and we may hide content, and suspend or remove accounts, that breach these Terms. Serious safeguarding concerns may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
4. Safeguarding
Because the Service brings together adults and young people around football, we take safeguarding seriously. If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of any member — especially a young person — report it using the in-app report tools or email safeguarding@footballinstitute-bqfvhggnbcg6g5a9.canadaeast-01.azurewebsites.net. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first.
5. Content and intellectual property
Course materials, text, graphics, logos, and software on the Service are owned by Football Institute or our instructors and licensors, and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the materials for your own learning.
You retain ownership of content you submit (for example, community posts, comments, and assignments). By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
6. Certificates and diplomas
Certificates and pathway diplomas recognise your completion of the relevant courses. They are issued for your personal and professional use and may be shared or verified via their public link. They do not constitute a formal academic qualification unless expressly stated on the credential.
7. Donations and paid features
The Service’s courses are free. Donations are voluntary and help keep it that way. We may also offer optional paid features (for example, expanded personal libraries or supporter tiers); where we do, the price and what you get are shown before you pay. Except where required by law or stated otherwise at the time of payment, donations and one-off purchases are non-refundable; recurring supporter payments can be cancelled at any time and take effect at the end of the current period. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not receive or store your full card details.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” for educational purposes. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and course content is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, coaching-certification, or safeguarding advice. You are responsible for how you apply what you learn.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Football Institute will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or its members. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
